How SnapTools is built, how it is paid for, and where it is going. First-person write-ups, not press releases.
Most sites have a page like this one written entirely in the third person, describing a team that will happily tell you they care about users. This one exists because it seemed more useful to show the actual work instead: what was measured and how, what the tool cannot do, where the money to keep the servers on comes from, and what we gave up by running everything in the browser rather than on a backend.
It is the smallest section here on purpose. Writing four pages of "behind the scenes" content that turned out to be marketing copy would defeat the purpose of writing it. If any of this changes, the about page is the canonical source, and the funding article sets out plainly what advertising does and does not influence.
